How do I share a recording with family?
In Admin mode, open a story and tap the share button to send a single recording. To share several at once, use the Backup button to export a .zip file containing all the selected recordings and their images. If your family or friends also have Homemade Stories installed, they can open the .zip file directly in the app and it will be added to their library.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Recordings are saved locally on your device, so kids can listen anywhere — on a plane, in the car, or tucked up at bedtime — without needing an internet connection.
Is the app really free with no ads or in-app purchases?
Yes. Homemade Stories has no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. We wanted a children's app that parents could hand over without worrying.
Available languages
Homemade Stories is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish — so storytellers and little listeners around the world can enjoy it in their own language.
